What is kava?

Kava is an herbal root harvested in the vibrant, volcanic soil of Oceania for over 3,000 years. Drinking the tea traditionally occurs around special social gatherings such as welcoming a guest, spiritual practice, and storytelling with one another in a non-alcoholic space called a nakamal. Since starting out as a street cart in 2022, Cave Valley Kava has become known for our strong small-batch signature brew. For this we give credit to the small farm in Tonga that harvests this kava kula strain. On that island and many more throughout the region, the beverage is regarded as sacred.

"I'm so grateful to have a place like this locally, kava has really been a blessing to me and I hope more folks can give it a try. It's a great beverage to socialize and relax with for those choosing not to drink alcohol. Keep doing what you're doing Cave Valley Kava."

"It is a comfy little place, pretty perfect for a rainy day. The staff is very kind... very obvious that they support local art in there, which I appreciate. They have events there periodically (music shows, movies, etc.) I have been to one music show, and it was the perfect small space for it."
